Spokes is the brainchild of Ian Stokes, a chartered mechanical engineer who has worked for major organisations around the globe in the nuclear, power and predominantly the oil & gas industries. When COVID-19 scuppered his ability to work internationally he decided to pursue his passion for cycling and use the down time to start a mobile cycle repair and maintenance business.
Spokes started trading in November 2020 as a mobile service, supported by Julie his wife, but by 2021 our first Workshop in Bridge of Weir opened. Followed shortly after in 2022 with the expansion into the unit next door to create our current Bike Shop and Service Centre.

Winning the ROCCO Most Promising New Business award in 2023 was a catalyst for further expansion, this time our geographic reach and the opening of our next branch in Greenock April 2024, ideally located at Battery Park a great spot for a demo ride.
As business has grown so has our team, with a team of mechanics boasting with years of combined experience in bike service and repair on a wide range of makes and models. Added to this they're all passionate cyclists so will happily talk all things bike and always hapy to help.
